jack and the big adventure

Jack And The Big Adventure

page 1
Once upon a time their was a boy named Jack. He lived in the woods. He has black hair and he always put on a T-shirt and baggy shorts. One day he went out for a walk in the woods and came up to this graveyard and he saw something in the bushes.

page 2

He thought it was a bunny RARR , Ahhhhhh!!! A Zombie!! Jack rushed home and built himself a sword and a shield and also a bow and arrow. He went back but there were ghosts everywhere so he ran back home and grabbed a vacuum cleaner and started vacuuming all the ghosts. Yikes, bats. They flew around and around making Jack dizzy.

page 3

Suddenly angels came to help. "We're here to help," said one of the angels. "Thanks," replied Jack. "Take that," said an angel. "vvvvrrrrrr," went the vacuum cleaner. "YAY they are all gone, bye bye," said an angel "BYE!" replied Jack. So he went back home to his little cottage, ate dinner and said to himself, "Wow what a day," He yawned and fell asleep as he dreamed peacefully. BANG.

page 4 Ahhhhh the Zombies are back as my heart pounded SO fast I grabbed my stuff and started fighting but then one Zombie knocked me out and when I woke up I was hanging from some chains going to drop in a volcano "but there aren't any volcanos in the woods" I said to myself but anyway Ahhh Ok everybody let's think are we going to eat him or deep fry him EAT HIM ok... And jack was never to be seen again well never to be seen again with the monsters.

page 5

But as the days past the Zombie,s were getting hungry so they packed and went for a trip to town and killed everyone and damaged everything so they own that town now.so they went on destroying towns city,s country,s and now the hole world but that was a different universe as time past by the monsters became weaker and weaker softer and softer so people got them back and the monsters were never to be seen again well not in this universe. So as monsters became jokes a boy named tom was born he had brown hair blue eyes and had a dream of becoming a traveler just like jack.

page 6

So he went to mars(he was now 49 years old)and found aliens trying to build a spaceship to destroy another 200 years of the universe so tom stopped them by pushing them off the planet and the aliens destroyed toms rocket so he had to finish the aliens space ship so he could get back to earth he got home unpacked his bags and fell on his bed and fell asleep  beep beep beep went his alarm.

the end

Join jack and tom for a COOL! adventure fighting monsters and being put in a volcano so if you read this awesome book you can be in this adventure to.

Happy because I have actually finished my post and done really good learning.

What do you know and/or understand?
I didn't know that a half was a 1 at the top and a 2 at the bottom. The bottom number tells me how many pieces the thing is cut into and the top number tells me how many pieces I have.
Growth
What could you do now to further your learning?
I need to work out fractions with numbers like, 1/4 of 8.

Housing Inquiry

WALT: gather information

Every Wednesday we have been learning about the inquiry process while finding out about different houses around the world. First we chose a question and then researched to find the answer to our question. Our question was ‘What are houses like in Paris and why are they like this? Each group had to pick a country and inquiry into what their houses are like, present their findings in a Haiku Deck and then build their house in Minecraft.

I am a novice because I can't really get the research that i need

1.that I have been working hard on my castle house.
2.trying to finish my house properly and working with a buddy.
3.my next get it goal is to try out/ experiments.

Gaby, your writing is sharing the Hiwi the Kiwi message. We need to be safe in the water and wear a life jacket on a boat. You also shared about the need to make sure your fish is the right size. Remember when you are publishing to make sure you check the spelling and punctuation is correct. Remember to make sure you punctuate your speech and tell the reader who is talking to help make the message even clearer, (Also there is always 1 space after a full stop)

I followed the Get it, Sort it, Use it inquiry process by…helping it make sence  because otherwise none will understand

My next step when I use the Get it, Sort it, Use it inquiry process is…to make it tell when it was on

The fun part of the Get it, Sort it, Use it inquiry process was…

You have thought about your learning and used your reading strategies to help as you read to make meaning and grow your understanding and knowledge. It can be tricky to make sure the questions are clear (not ambiguous) and you only have one answer!
You have stated reflecting on your learning. Remember when reflecting and thinking about your learning to add more details and go a little deeper, adding a 'because' to your ideas might help. Reflecting about your learning helps you to grow as a learner, to think about what was tricky and to set goals.
